dupree-end-table
Dupree End Table

The Dupree End Table from Four Hands is a small round table in solid oak, finished in a light wash that lets the grain show through. The top is slim and the four legs are slender, with a gentle shaping that keeps the form from reading as plain. Frame joints are mortise and tenon, the same woodworking approach used in much older furniture, and the table holds a good amount of weight for its size.

The washed oak sits comfortably between Scandinavian restraint and a more relaxed, handmade look. It is pale enough to brighten a dark corner and warm enough to sit next to leather, boucle, or a heavy velvet without clashing. In a maximalist room it works as a quiet pause between louder pieces, and the finish takes on a slightly different tone depending on the light.

Set it beside a sofa or an armchair for a lamp, a stack of books, and a drink. It also suits a bedside as a compact nightstand, or an entry as a spot for keys and a small bowl. Because it is solid wood, expect natural variation in grain and color from one table to the next.
