idella-extension-dining-table
Idella Extension Dining Table

The Idella Extension Dining Table from Four Hands is a trestle table with a geometric cutout opened through its hourglass base. It is built from thick oak veneer and solid oak, with a classic breadboard top that keeps the grain running clean across the surface. Two insert leaves slide out on wood glides to lengthen the table, and leg levelers on the feet keep it steady on an uneven floor. It is a substantial piece, so plan on two people for the move.

The trestle is an old farmhouse form, and the cutout gives it a modern, graphic edge without losing the craftsman feel. The worn oak finish leaves the grain and its natural variation in plain view, so no two tops read exactly alike. It sits well with upholstered dining chairs, a long bench on one side, or a mix of mismatched chairs collected over time.

Close the leaves for everyday dinners and homework, then open the table when the whole family or a crowd of friends is coming. The generous overhang at each end leaves room for a host's chair, and the open base gives knees plenty of clearance. In a dining room it works as the anchor of the space, and in a large eat-in kitchen it can stand in for an island and a table in one.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0787/8213/6547/files/four-hands-idella-extension-dining-table-1.jpg?v=1793664374
