The Julius Swivel Chair from Four Hands is a tub chair that wraps around the sitter and turns a full circle on its base. A solid parawood frame sits under fixed back and seat cushions, and an S-spring seat gives a little under you without feeling loose. The upholstery ranges from a high, yarn-like ivory pile and soft shearling to performance fabric, linen blends, wool, and top-grain leather.
The shape borrows from mid-century swivel tubs and the sunken conversation pits of the 1970s, with low arms and a deep, rounded back that reads as sculpture even in an empty room. Texture does most of the talking. A shearling or looped pile catches the light and softens a room full of hard surfaces, while the leather version leans toward a library or den. It sits easily beside warm wood, plaster-toned walls, and a rug with some pattern in it.
Set it where you want a seat that looks two directions at once, such as a living room corner between the window and the sofa, or beside a fireplace. The swivel lets you face the conversation, then turn toward the view or a book without moving the chair. It also works in a bedroom corner or a reading nook where a sofa would crowd the floor.
