The Kiera from Four Hands is a swivel armchair with a squared-off, tailored profile and a low, settled seat. Clean-angled arms frame a buttoned seat cushion and a loose, boxed back cushion, and blind tufting gives the upholstery a quilted texture. The frame is solid wood on a swivel base that turns a full circle, and the body is padded with foam and polyester fiber over a webbed seat. It comes in top-grain leather or in woven fabric, depending on the finish.
The lines are modern with a mid-century sense of restraint, so the chair sits comfortably beside a walnut console or a brass floor lamp. The leather finishes in cognac, cigar and black will soften and darken with use. The midnight cotton blend and the cream linen blend read quieter and more textural. Each pairs with a wool or jute rug and a few well-chosen throw pillows.
Place it in a living room where conversation and a view both compete for attention. The swivel lets you turn toward the sofa, then toward the window, without dragging the chair across the floor. It also works in a reading corner, at the foot of a bed, or as a second seat in a study.
