A leather swivel chair from Four Hands with a sculptural frame and a back split into two panels. The upholstery is top-grain leather with a soft, napped nubuck finish in a deep tobacco brown, and a single loose back cushion takes the edge off the architecture. Arms slope gently down from the back, and the hardware is left visible and finished in dark brass. The base turns a full rotation on a low pedestal.
The chair was designed with longtime Four Hands collaborator Thomas Bina and Brazilian designer Ronald Sasson, and the Brazilian influence shows in the rounded, low-slung proportions. The split back and exposed brass read as mid-century modern with a more contemporary hand. Leather in this color will deepen and show wear over the years, which suits rooms with walnut, travertine, wool rugs, and a few worn-in books.
Set it where a conversation needs a second angle: beside a sofa, across from a fireplace, or in a corner near a window. The swivel lets you turn from the room to the view without dragging the chair across the floor. It is a substantial single seat, and it works as well in a study or bedroom as in a living room.
