The Ralyn Dining Chair from Four Hands is an armless side chair built from an interlocking seat and back, so the whole form reads as two angular blocks locked together. It is upholstered in snow-white Crypton performance fabric, which is engineered to resist stains, moisture and odor and is free of PFAS. The seat is sprung with S-spring construction under a fixed cushion, and the chair sits low on casters.
Brown piping follows every edge of the block shape, drawing the silhouette across the white upholstery like a single ink line. The effect is graphic and a little architectural, closer to a drafting exercise than a traditional upholstered side chair. It pairs well with dark wood or stone tables, and with rooms that already have plenty of pattern and need one calm, clean-lined seat.
Use it at the dining table where spills are a given, since the fabric wipes clean with water-based cleaners. The casters let it roll out and back in without lifting, which also makes it a good fit for a desk, a vanity or the end of a long table. A set of them in a row shows off the piping best.
