A long, low bench from Four Hands with a pill-shaped seat that sits on slim wrought iron legs. The seat is upholstered in a soft, pebble-toned woven fabric made from recycled polypropylene, over a wooden platform with a foam and fiber-batting fill and S-spring suspension underneath. The legs are finished in a hammered bronze that shows a little hand-worked texture, and leg levelers keep it steady on uneven floors.
The Corinne suite takes its cue from midcentury seating, where the shape is simple and the proportions do the work. The rounded ends soften a rectilinear room, and the thin dark legs let the oatmeal-colored seat appear to float. It sits comfortably next to walnut, brass, boucle, and plaster-washed walls, and it holds its own against louder pieces nearby.
Place it at the foot of a bed, under a window, or along a hallway where a coat and a pair of shoes need a landing spot. In a living room it works as extra seating for two beside a console or a bookcase. The fabric carries a water-based cleaning code, so day-to-day spills can be handled without a specialist.
