A waterfall-form console from Four Hands, faced in oak burl veneer over a solid oak structure and finished in a warm, medium-brown rye tone. The top turns down into the legs in one unbroken line, and the deep bullnose edges give it a thick, softly rounded profile. Frame and panel construction with edge-banded veneer keeps the surface flat, and leg levelers underneath let it settle on an uneven floor. Burl grain swirls and knots differently on every table, so no two tops read quite alike.
The Daven suite borrows from the sculptural, grounded furniture of the 1970s, where wood grain did the decorating work and the silhouette stayed quiet. Here the burl is the pattern, so the table pairs easily with plaster walls, linen shades, brass, and ceramics in earthy glazes. It also holds its own against bolder color, such as a saturated painted wall or a large abstract canvas hung above.
With no doors or drawers, this is an open console built for display and a few daily habits. Set it behind a sofa with a pair of lamps, run it down a hallway, or place it against an entry wall with a bowl for keys and a stack of books. The shallow depth keeps walkways clear, and the long top leaves room for a row of objects without crowding.
