The Ember End Table from Four Hands is a round oak side table with a wide skirted base and an inward curve that pulls the profile in before it flares out again. It is built from solid oak and oak veneer, finished in a tumbled brown that keeps the grain visible and the surface soft to the eye. Leg levelers on the underside keep it steady on older floorboards.
The silhouette comes from traditional furniture, with its skirted foot and shaped waist, and the clean round top brings it up to date. It sits comfortably next to a rolled-arm sofa or a lean modern chair, and the warm brown reads as a neutral against saturated walls, patterned fabrics, and brass or ceramic lamps.
Use it beside a sofa for a lamp and a drink, at the head of a bed as a compact nightstand, or in an entry with a bowl for keys. A pair works on either side of a daybed or settee. The top is sturdy enough to hold a stack of books, a tray, or a small sculpture without crowding the room.
