The Franco from Four Hands is a dining chair that takes the wing-back silhouette and exaggerates it, with a shaped back that flares outward above a compact, armless seat. It is built from solid ash and ash veneer, joined with mortise and tenon construction, and the seat is a wooden platform rather than a cushion. The frame comes in jet black or a warm brown ash finish, and a third version adds a black top-grain leather seat.
The shape sits comfortably in mid-century territory, with the clean lines and tapered, slim-profile frame you would expect from a Scandinavian-leaning collection. Black reads graphic and a little dramatic, the brown ash is softer and pairs easily with oak, walnut, and travertine. Set a few around a round pedestal table or mix them with a bench along one side for a less matched look.
Armless and light enough to pull in and out with one hand, the Franco works as a dining chair first. It also earns a place at a desk, along a long entry wall, or tucked beside a bedroom vanity where you want a seat with some presence. The wood seat is firm, and the leather version adds a bit of give for longer meals.
