Henry Dining Table

Henry Dining Table

The Henry is a plank-style dining table from Four Hands, long and substantial, with a thick top that reads as one run of boards. It is built from solid reclaimed oak and oak veneer, with edge-banded construction and four chamfered legs that sit square at each corner. Leg levelers on the feet let it settle flat on an uneven floor. Grain, knots, and the grooves between planks vary from table to table, which is the point of working with reclaimed wood.

Four Hands developed the Henry with longtime collaborator Thomas Bina and Brazilian designer Ronald Sasson. The look is rustic but squared-off, with a natural oak tone that shows the grain and angled leg edges that soften an otherwise straight-lined frame. It sits easily with woven or leather dining chairs, linen runners, and chunky stoneware, and it holds its own next to more polished pieces.

This is a table for a dining room that hosts, long enough for a full table of friends and sturdy enough for platters, candles, and a second bottle. Between dinners it works as a shared workspace for laptops, craft projects, or a puzzle that stays out all week. Wipe it down with a damp cloth and it keeps its character as it picks up marks over the years.
