Legendes D'orient Incense

Legendes D'Orient is a line of incense sticks from Nippon Kodo, one of Japan's oldest and most established incense manufacturers, produced in partnership with Esteban Paris. The sticks are bamboo-core incense, a format Nippon Kodo has produced for over four centuries, with fragrance compounds bound to a thin bamboo spine. Each box contains multiple sticks intended for single-session burning.

The Legendes D'Orient name situates these in a register of spiced, resinous, and woody fragrance profiles associated with Eastern trade routes — oud, amber, sandalwood, and similar materials that have anchored incense traditions across Japan, India, and the Middle East. The collaboration with Esteban Paris adds a French perfumery sensibility to the blending, producing something that sits between ceremonial incense and home fragrance.

A box like this works equally well on a writing desk, a bathroom shelf, or beside a reading chair — anywhere a short burn (roughly 20–30 minutes per stick) can mark a transition in the day. The format is inherently low-maintenance: light, set in a holder, let it run.
