The Leo End Table from Four Hands is a solid-feeling oak side table with a reeded base and softly rounded edges. It is built from solid oak and thick oak veneer, joined with bore-and-dowel and mitered construction, and finished in either a weathered grey or a smoked black that lets the grain show through. The top is thick and the legs are slim reeded slabs, so the table reads as substantial without feeling bulky.
Thomas Bina, a longtime Four Hands collaborator, developed Leo with Brazilian designer Ronald Sasson, and the curved profile and vertical reeding borrow from Brazilian midcentury furniture. The linear grooves catch light and shadow differently through the day, which gives a quiet piece some texture. It sits easily with bouclé, leather, linen and plaster-toned walls, and it matches the Leo coffee table, console and dining table if you want a full suite.
Set it beside a sofa or lounge chair to hold a lamp, a stack of books and a drink, or use it at the foot of a bed or in an entry as a small landing spot. Leg levelers keep it steady on uneven floors. Some variation in grain and finish from one table to the next is part of working with oak.
