A low, wide coffee table from Four Hands that sets a slab of cream marble on a base of solid oak. The rectangular top is solid stone with a generous overhang and natural veining, so no two tables read quite alike. Underneath, a cradle-style base in a deep tobacco-brown oak finish carries the weight on blocky legs, and leveling feet keep it steady on floors that aren't.
The design leans on contrast: warm, grained wood against cool, pale stone, all held together by straight edges and square corners. It sits comfortably in modern-organic rooms and just as easily in a layered, maximalist one, where the quiet top gives pattern and color somewhere to rest. Bouclé and linen sofas, leather lounge chairs, and wool or jute rugs all suit it.
Set it at the center of a seating area and it becomes the surface the room revolves around. The top is broad enough for a stack of art books, a tray of drinks, and a bowl of cut stems at the same time. Its low profile keeps sightlines open across the living room, and the open space under the base is useful for a basket of throws or a few magazines.
