A hand-poured soy candle, made in small batches in Richmond, Virginia. The wax is 100% US-grown soy, set around a natural cotton wick in a reusable amber low ball glass with a kraft paper lid. It burns for roughly 50 hours, and the sturdy glass stays useful afterward for pencils, cotton swabs, or a few cut stems.
The scents lean woodsy and warm. Lavender with seasoned oak and a hint of leather sits at one end, pine and balsam over cedar at another, with aged tobacco leaf, pepper and vetiver, and palo santo with oud and sandalwood in between. Grapefruit and fig, a gingerbread house with nutmeg and cinnamon, and a green-glass Fraser Fir for the holidays fill out the range. The packaging is plain on purpose, with amber glass and a paper lid that look at home on a workshop shelf.
Set one on a bookshelf, a coffee table, or beside a reading chair, and choose the scent by room and season. Trim the wick before each lighting, and let the first burn melt the wax all the way to the edges so the candle burns evenly. It also makes an easy gift, since the scents are not overly masculine or feminine.
