A half-moon console in solid iron from Four Hands, finished in a textured matte that reads closer to stone than to metal. The top curves out from a straight back edge, so it sits flush against the wall, and it rests on two slim, contoured legs with leveling feet underneath. It is a slender table with real weight to it, and the iron construction holds a lamp, a stack of books and a bowl without looking heavy.
The Lois suite takes its cues from the sculptural metalwork of mid-century entry tables, pared down to a single curve and two tapered legs. The dark, quiet surface works with warm wood, plaster walls, woven baskets and brass, and it gives a loud wallpaper or a gallery wall a calm place to land. The shallow profile keeps the lines light, so the table adds presence without crowding the room.
Put it in a narrow entry for keys and mail, in a hallway under a mirror, or on a landing where a full-depth console would block the way. In a living room it can stand behind a sofa or beside a doorway with a lamp and a few stems. Wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth, and keep it level on the floor so the top sits true.
