The Lola Coffee Table from Four Hands is a low, softened rectangle built to anchor a seating area. Thick oak veneer forms the top and sides with edge-banded construction, and dark paper fiber runs across the sides to give the surface a wandering, burl-like movement. The top is slim, and the whole table sits just above the floor on a recessed base with leg levelers for uneven boards.
The look is quiet and tactile, closer to a sculpted plinth than a traditional table. Rounded corners take the edge off the long, horizontal profile, and the deep brown oak reads warm against pale linen, bouclé, or a leather sofa. It pairs easily with mid-century lounge chairs, stacked plaster or stone objects, and the kind of rooms that favor texture over pattern.
Set it in front of a sofa and it gives you a wide surface for a tray, a stack of books, and a low bowl of stems, with room left for a drink. Because the oak is veneer over a paper fiber detail, grain and tone will vary from table to table, and each one reads a little differently in the room. It is a substantial piece, so plan its spot before it arrives.
