Medici Table Lamp

The Medici table lamp from Four Hands is built on three slim pillars grouped into a single column, topped with a wide tapered shade. In the marble finishes the pillars are smooth Italian stone with natural veining, so no two bases read exactly alike. The oak finish cuts the same form in solid wood, and each version is fitted with antique brass-toned stainless steel at the neck. An LED bulb is included, and a 3-way rotary switch at the socket steps through light levels.

The form borrows from classical colonnades, and the name nods to the Florentine family who bankrolled Renaissance architecture. Charcoal and white marble is cool and graphic under a pale shade, merlot marble leans deep red-brown, and warm oak softens the whole idea into something more rustic. The brass accents pair easily with lacquer, plaster, linen, and stacks of art books.

Set it where a lamp needs presence and a little height, such as a console, a sideboard, or a bedside table with room to spare. The shade is broad, so give it some clearance from the wall. It is dry rated for indoor use, with a long cord that gives you flexibility on placement in a living room, bedroom, or entry.
