The Oranda Console Table from Four Hands is a solid marble console built around a sculptural, scalloped base. The base swirls in carved vertical flutes that give the stone real weight and texture, and it carries an oval top with a softly rounded, pill-shaped outline. Marble is cut for both parts, so veining and tone shift from one table to the next.
The design takes its cue from Italian stonework, where a fluted pedestal reads like a column turned into a curve. That gives the table a sculptural presence from the front and a calmer, linear profile from the side. It comes in polished white marble with a sealant or in black marble, and either one pairs well with lacquered frames, brass lamps, and a tall vase of branches.
Place it in an entry, behind a sofa, or along a hallway wall where it can anchor a mirror or a stack of art books. The depth is slim enough for a narrow passage, and the base is heavy enough that the table stays put once it's set. Choose the spot before it arrives, since a marble piece this substantial is easier to place once than to move twice.
