The Pecos Console Table from Four Hands is a broad slab of light-washed oak resting on four blocky pillar legs. The top is thick oak veneer with a deep, squared edge, and the legs are solid oak, so the table carries a visible heft without any ornament. The base is fully open, with no doors or drawers, which keeps the whole piece reading as one clean rectangle.
The design takes its cue from softened Brutalism: heavy geometry, but in a pale, grainy wood that feels warm instead of severe. The light wash lets the oak grain show through, and the straight lines sit comfortably beside plaster walls, linen upholstery, black ceramics and oversized table lamps. It also holds its own next to more ornate finds, giving a collected room a calm, architectural anchor.
Place it behind a sofa, along an entry wall or down a wide hallway. The top is deep enough for a pair of lamps, a stack of art books and a bowl for keys, and the open space underneath fits baskets, a low stool or a few stacked boxes. Because it has no drawers, it works best as a display surface where objects stay in view.
