The Rutherford Console Table from Four Hands is a slim, solid-wood piece built from mixed reclaimed woods, so each top carries its own grain, seams and shifts between ash and brown. A rounded rectangular top rests on pedestal legs cut with vertical reeding, and the legs stand on a low plinth base. Because the lumber is reclaimed, color and surface character vary from one table to the next.
The design draws on the carved and ornamented interiors of the palaces in Jaipur, then pares them back to a quiet, architectural silhouette. Reeding is an old classical motif, and here it gives the pedestals a rhythm of light and shadow without adding color or pattern. The weathered ashen finish sits easily beside brass lamps, glazed ceramics, linen shades and darker woods, and it belongs to a wider Rutherford suite that includes coffee and end tables.
The shallow depth suits an entry wall, a hallway, or the back of a sofa, where it can hold a lamp, a stack of books and a bowl for keys. There are no drawers or doors, which keeps the lines clean and leaves the reeded legs visible. Levelers under the base help it sit steady on older floors.
