Yoko Grand Coffee Table

The Yoko Grand is a low, round coffee table from Four Hands, built around a thick top of cast glass set on a slim matte black iron frame. Cast glass has more body than float glass, with a soft depth and slight variation in the surface that you can see from the edge. The legs taper to fine points, so the table reads as light even though the top is substantial. It comes in smoked brown, moss green, and clear.

The Yoko Grand is the larger half of a nesting pair, and it holds its own as a single piece. The black iron against tinted glass has a mid-century and Japanese-modern feel, closer to a studio object than a conventional furniture suite. Smoked brown pairs with walnut, leather, and bouclé, moss leans into velvet and deep greens, and clear lets a rug or a stack of books do the talking.

Set it in front of a sofa where you want a generous surface that does not block the room. Books, a low bowl, and a candle sit comfortably on the glass, and the open frame lets you see the floor and rug beneath. Add the smaller table beside it when you want a second level for drinks or a plant.
