Reza Wide Bookcase

A tall, wide bookcase from Four Hands built from solid parawood and framed in solid acacia, with the frame joined by mortise and tenon. The upper run is open shelving, and the lower tier is closed storage behind six hinged solid doors that shut on magnetic catches. Three fixed shelves anchor the structure, three shelves lift out to change the spacing, and cord management cutouts and leg levelers handle the practical end of things.

The styling is midcentury in its proportions and Shaker in its restraint, with plain flat panels, straight lines and no applied ornament. The wood does the talking, with visible grain and the natural variation that comes with solid timber. Two finishes are offered: a toasted acacia and smoked honey pairing that reads warm and golden, and a worn black version that sits closer to charcoal and suits darker rooms.

It works as a wall of its own in a living room, study or library, holding books and framed pieces on the open shelves while the doors hide media gear, games, linens or paperwork. The shelves are rated for a steady load of books, so the heavier volumes can go low and the objects up high. Plan on two or more people for delivery, as the piece is substantial and is best placed once and left.
